Full house at the Hannoveraner Day in Kunowo

In mid-July, the seventh Hannoveraner Day took place in Kunowo, Poland, just outside Poznan. The day included a foal show and mare performance test. The long-standing Hannoveraner breeder Marta Roszkiewicz-Heizer and her family kindly provided their facilities for the breeding event. Not only Polish breeders, but also a German breeder took the opportunity to present her mare at the mare performance test and the subsequent award ceremony. On the evening before the show, Maren Schlender presented news from the Verband at a social evening for breeders. This concerned in particular the new regulations for the procedure of broodmare performance tests and awards, but the new Hannoveraner Dressage Horse Breeding Program also met with great interest.
The Hannoveraner Day began with a foal show at which 25 foals were shown in three classes. A daughter of Va Bene, bred from Hann.Pr. Diva Gora by Don Frederico/Florestan (breeder: Marta Roszkiewicz-Heizer, Kunowo), won in the section of nine dressage-focused fillies. Her mother Diva Gora also demonstrated her hereditary power in the ring of dressage-focused colts. Nine foals also presented themselves in this section, in which a full brother of the winner took second place. The winning foal in this section was Quintillion Jak Malowany, a son of Quaterback out of “Die Fee” by Diamond Hit/Sandro, bred and owned by Agata Fornalska, Mierzyn. Seven other colts and fillies were judged together in the jumping section. Here, a son of Esmeraldo out of a dam by Kannan/Stalypso, bred by Mateusz Kowalczyk of Lobowo, won. The overall winner of the day, the “Super Champion”, was a filly by Va Bene/Don Frederico, who always moved with great suppleness and ease through the body.

This was followed in the afternoon by a mare performance test with nine mares, including four jumping mares, all of which presented themselves well over the jumps. The winning mare of the jumping mares, C’est la vie, a Cornet Obolensky daughter out of Hann.Pr. Confetti by Clinton II/Glückspilz (breeder: Dr. Roman Roszkiewicz, Kunowo, B.: Marcin Kucner, Laskowo), was light-footed, elastic and had a good scope. The three-year-old showed a lot of scope and balance, especially in canter. Due to her quality, two other mares were awarded a 1a prize. The high quality also continued in the group of dressage mares, in which almost all mares were also presented in free jumping. Two mares stood out here in particular, including the winning mare Melody Gold by De Niro Gold/Millenium, bred by Henryk Podkówka, Roztoka and under the ownership of Agnieszka Wasylik, Jaroszow. The three-year-old also showed an excellent performance under saddle, rideable, well balanced, always in time with very good disposition in the basic gaits. She was also awarded the conformation+ premium due to her correct conformation and was named winning mare of the dressage mares. She was followed by the also three-year-old Felicita by Fusionist out of Hann.Pr Fräulein Wiemark by Fürst Belissaro/White Star (breeder: ZG Meier, Ahlerstedt, B.: Agnieszka Gronowska, Warzawa), who already showed herself patent over the jumps. The rideability and consistent quality of the basic gaits in particular were awarded good and very good scores. Both mares and one other were awarded the candidacy for the Hannoveraner Premium.
