Flynn FRH (VA) by Fahrenheit/Sir Oldenburg
Year of birth: 2014
Breeder: Anton Muhr, Bad Rappenau
Rider: Flore de Winne/BEL
Flynn FRH has found a new owner twice in the Niedersachsenhalle in Verden. In 2014, the renowned stallion rearer Heinrich Ramsbrock secured the rough diamond. Two years later, he was licensed in the same place, travelled to Belgium and came to dressage rider Flore de Winne.
The 29-year-old runs the WinHorses training and sales stable in Geraardsbergen in East Flanders, just under 40 kilometres from Brussels. It is also home to a small stallion station, where Flynn FRH is the star, as well as her own breeding stable. The mare stable includes the Quaterback/Londonderry daughter Quinta (breeder: Klaus Jürgens, Sehnde-Bolzum), a former Verden auction horse, Daria by Danciano/Don Frederico (breeder: Dieter Kreyenhagen, Ostercappeln), a former Verden auction foal, Finum by Finest/Don Crusador (breeder: Jürgen Mindermann, Lilienthal) and a Sandro Hit/Sherwood daughter, Haca D’Haeverlanden.
Flynn FRH’s list of successes is long. He won young horse tests and championships as a five and six-year-old and celebrated his first victory at Grand Prix level as a seven-year-old. Last year he took part in the European Championships in Riesenbeck, and at the beginning of the year he was sixth at the World Cup Final in Riyadh/KSA. His most recent success: victory at the Belgian Championships – the ideal preparation for the Olympic Games. “Flynn FRH is an incredible horse, always giving his best and doing his job. Knowing he’s there gives me confidence. He’s always in ‘business mode’ with a bit of arrogance,” she said. “That really adds that extra sparkle to him.“
Flynn FRH goes back to the thoroughbred mare Sweet Little xx. Since 1981, Anton Muhr has developed a small but fine dressage line from her, which will become Olympic with Flynn FRH. The 85-year-old has since given up Hannoveraner breeding and his last foal was born in Bad Rappenau in 2017.
