Right up to the 1986 World Champion The Natural by Diskus/Gotthard, the dam line of Jolante has repeatedly produced outstanding show jumpers over generations. The Verden Auctions were often the springboard for their careers. This dam line has also been cared for over generations by the Böttcher family in Warmsen. Kurt-Heinrich Böttcher himself successfully rode the mares with which he further developed this line in competition before using them for breeding. This was the case, among others, with the third and fourth dams of the stallion with the head number 111 by Baloutaire out of First class van Helsing. The knowledge he gained about the characteristics of his mares certainly helped decisively in building up this mare family.
Following this example, Bernhard and Helmut Jasken from Haren used First Class van Helsing by Van Helsing/Carismo, who was successful up to 1.40 m, in their small Hanoverian jumper breeding program.
Sandro’s Sympathica line is no less successful. She is a half-sister to the dam of First Class van Helsing and, among others, the dam of Hann.Pr.A. Corina Blue by Chacco-Blue. She placed in the 2017 Verden Free Jumping Championships and is now successful at 1.60 m with Brazilian rider Sergio Neuppmann. Last year, they placed in the World Cup show jumping competition in Riyadh, among other events.
