When a dam line is named after a successful sport mare who was celebrated as a wonder mare in her day, the foundation for her offspring is laid. This is what happened with Fairness III Z by Flussfischer/Despot, born in 1946 at the Hörmann farm in Wehrbleck. This dam line is therefore relatively young and not very widely branched. However, it continuously and unerringly produces top horses for show jumping. It all started with Fairness III Z, who was once highly successful under Hartwig Steenken.
Breeders with the letter Z have had a significant influence on this dam line on two occasions. First, Leon Melchior from Zangersheide Stud, who had two daughters of Fairness III Z in his mare herd, and second, Horst Zöllmer from Lüneburg, who brought April Love ZH by Alme, a great-granddaughter of Fairness III Z, back to the core breeding area of Hanover. Among other things, she is the dam of Denis Lynch’s European Championship horse All Star by Argentinus.
This dam line is now at home with Dr. Elmar Thiemann from Himbergen, not far from Lüneburg, among others. His breeding program has produced the full sisters St.Pr.St. Ballerina, a PHS*** mare, and St.Pr.St. Brisbane, successful up to 1.50 m with Finja Bormann, by Balou du Rouet/Graf Grannus.
St.Pr.St. Ballerina has already produced four successful S-level offspring. First and foremost is Chancelloress by Chacco-Blue. She has enjoyed success with Paul O’Shea almost around the globe at up to 1.55 m. St.Pr.St. Ballerina is also the dam of the young stallion with head number 133 by Emerald van het Ruytershof, who is likely to be the subject of high hopes due to the successes of his dam’s line over many generations.
