2025 licensing candidates: Mad Jo as a trademark

Why Jochen Meyer from Allwörden chose the suffix Mad Jo for his show jumpers from the Dichterwelt dam line is something best asked for yourself. Mad certainly also stands for Meyer – Allwörden – Dolores, because he chose Dolores by Don Juan/Domspatz, a successful sport mare, as the basis for this show jumper breeding program. One thing is certain: Mad Jo now owns a high level of recognition and has become a trademark of his show jumping horse breeding, not least thanks to Lucato Mad Jo by Ludwigs As/Stakkato, who has been successful up to 1.50 m under Benjamin Wulschner.

Lucato Mad Jo is a half-brother to the dam of the stallion with head number 116 by Chacoon Blue out of the still young Calinka Mad Jo from this year’s jumping collection. Another half-brother, Cabo Mad Jo by Cabo Verde, placed last year with Hergen Forkert in the Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships in Elmlohe, and a full brother to Calinka Mad Jo, Like Mad, is successful in the USA under Michael Tokaruk up to 1.40m.

These are good conditions for this young licensed prospect to continue contributing to the Mad Jo brand’s popularity.
